A message from Page One's editor: We're back
Page One returns Sunday, Oct. 18 -- plus, a few changes, and why you won't pay a thing ...
Dear reader,
We wanted to take a quick moment to let you know that Page One is coming back. After stepping away since mid-July, we'll return with our first Sunday Readable edition on Sunday, Oct. 18, and the weekday issue resumes Monday, Oct. 19. We also want to thank you for sticking with us and for being a subscriber through the break.
Here's what's changing:
→ Page One is now a Sunday-through-Friday newsletter. The weekday issue will still land in your inbox at around 6 p.m. eastern time, Monday through Friday, with the same sections you know: Newsable, Knowable, Usable, Watchable and, on Fridays, Likable.
→ Readable is now its own Sunday edition. Instead of a daily section, Readable becomes a Sunday collection of longer-form stories that are especially well told. It's free for everyone.
→ New subscribers will pay for the weekday issues. Going forward, new readers will pay $3.99 a month or $39.99 a year for the Monday-through-Friday newsletter.
And here's the most important part: you're grandfathered in. As a current subscriber, you'll keep getting the weekday issues for free. There's nothing you need to do, and nothing to sign up for.
What isn't changing is what we do. At Page One, we don't make the news -- we aggregate it. Our aim is still to cut through the noise and find you the most meaningful news, stories and ideas each day, along with the fun, interesting and useful stories that keep you culturally literate. And as always, we'll keep finding you free links that get you past the paywalls whenever we can.
We'll see you in your inbox this Sunday, and at around 6 p.m. eastern time on Monday, Oct. 19.
Andrew Tavani, executive editor, Page One
